Eye examinations in Scotland are free for everyone who is eligible.

As a rough guide:

Annual check ups are allowed for anyone who is under 16, over 60 or diabetic. 2 yearly check ups are standard for everyone else.

Our eye examinations are extremely thorough and we use some of the latest, state of the art technology including the incredible OCT. So whether you come for a routine visit or have a complicated problem, we will be able to offer you honest and good advice.

We can perform an eye examination on anyone, from approximately 6 months of age. Everyone should have regular eye examinations, even if you have "perfect sight". Many eye diseases don't affect central sight until after they have already damaged "hidden" parts of the eye!

We are wheelchair accessible and eye examinations can be done for those who are unable to move onto the testing chair.
